I found a new and improved way to find the actually meaning and spelling of your zanpakutou.

First off go this site http://www.freetranslation.com/ and choose the option English to Japenese, and type in what you want the meaning to your zanpakuto is...

for example Rangiku Matsumoto's Ash Cat.

Choose the option free translation and you should come up with 灰猫...

Go to this site: http://www.animelab.com/anime.manga/translate

And paste it onto the first box, and press translate.

You should come up with Haineko which is the Japanese name for your zanpakuto translated in english letters, and which is the actual way you say it in the Anime.

Use this to find what you actual name of your zanpakuto would be called.

I was pretty sure that "Tetsu umi" was Iron ocean, But it sounds better combined into "Tetsumi"

Tetsumi is gibberish in Japanese, apparently.

No I used Spirit Fox, and got two different names and just moved it together with a -...like I said

matsumoto's is Ash Cat in English, and in the result you get Hai, and Neko...

and thus Haineko

http://rut.org/cgi-bin/j-e/dict

That site might help a little.

If you switch it to the "Given as English text" option, and put in an english word, it gives you a crap load of Japanese words that have that word in their meaning.
